Bugatti Venezia Collection
Bugatti Venezia was inspired by a trip that I took as a student at The Royal College of Art to Venice. I loved everything I laid eyes upon and came back with a sketchbook crammed full of scribble, drawings, clippings and wine stains! Some years later I was invited to design cutlery by the Bugatti family based to the North of Venice and I suggested that we combine the tradition of the classic ‘Old English’ pattern with the shape of a Venetian gondola – all those flowing curves leading to the time honoured ‘pip’ at the end of the handle!
